All things testify of Christ

Earlier this week, I got to attend Cylus and Lyana's baptism!! Elder Coulam baptized Lala and I baptized Cylus. It was such a great experience and super funny. After both of them were baptized, Coulam had to unplug the font but he couldn't reach it, so I went back in to try to let the water drain out. The kids were still near the font and decided to come back in hahaha. Cylus was putting himself under water again because he said he loved it the first time hahaha. It was so much fun and I'm so glad I got to be there and see my friends again.

Elder Bednar visited our mission and spoke with us on Zoom. He made it more of a discussion with a Q & A. It was such a cool experience and I learned so much. He invited us to not take notes on what we hear him say but what we hear by the power of the Holy Ghost. He did this same thing back in BYUI when he gave a devotional and I remember how awesome that experience was and I'm glad I got to experience it again!

Spiritual Thought:
I listened to this BYU speech the other day and the speaker talks about how all things testify of Christ such as how we sleep at night, symbolizing death, and rising in the morning, or being resurrected. That had me thinking of some other things that testify of Christ. Simple things such as the sunrise each morning. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will come again and just like the sunrise, we patiently wait for that moment to come. As we watch, it's such a beautiful experience, all the beautiful colors of the sky and clouds bring so much peace and happiness to me. And then, the sun rises. We know it will. Each night to day testifies of Christ's return. The sun gives life and warmth all day. Jesus Christ taught His gospel, brought His light to all of us. And at sunset, it's beautiful and we appreciate its beauty but quickly, theres nothing but darkness. Just like the Savior, He was so loving of us that He offers us His peace and then humbles Himself and sacrifices His body for us in Gethsemane. We feel His peace each day and we appreciate His sacrifice for us. Then, He was spit upon, mocked, whipped, crucified a d died for us at Calvary. With the loss of His life and His apostles, the world was in darkness. In the morning, we wait till the sun will rise again, to bring back the light that has been taken away and bring us warmth and give us life. We know that what He went through was important for us and through the Restored Gospel, HIS Gospel, we know He will come again, and it will be beautiful.
